The history of Uljalaevshhina by Ilja Selvinskij (1899–1968) has been understudied. One of his main works, the poem was written in 1924, first published in 1927, and after that, in the 1930s, three more editions followed. Twenty years later the author remade the text fundamentally and published it in his first Collected Works in 6 volumes, leaving the old date, 1924. The paper discusses a step of the reconstruction of Uljalaevshhina’s history, the work with the Moscow-based family archive. In the 1970s, many documents were handed to the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, but far more still remained in the apartment of Selvinskij. There is no detailed description of the family archive and it is a matter of future studies to make it up. We have studied all the materials related to Uljalaevshhina by far, made up a list of them, suggested dating for the texts found and relationships between them, found one of the first printed copies of the poem (1924); drafts of the second version made right in one of the copies of the first edition; three drafts which are presumably an unknown and unpublished version; drafts of the new poem of the 1950’s; and a hand-written draft accounting for the new Uljalaevshhina.

Abstract
We have studied all the materials related to Uljalaevshhina by far, made up a list of them, suggested dating for the texts found and relationships between them, found one of the first printed copies of the poem (1924); drafts of the second version made right in one of the copies of the first edition; three drafts which are presumably an unknown and unpublished version; drafts of the new poem of the 1950’s; and a hand-written draft accounting for the new Uljalaevshhina.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
