After the managerial reform of the Italian NHS the strategic role of CEO in public healthcare organizations has become more and more important. The aim of this paper is to describe a specific aspect of CEOs careers by tracking their mobility among different INHS organizations. The social network analysis has been applied to analyze data gathered from the curricula of 149 CEOs describing their careers. The results show that a specific set of health care organizations are especially relevant as learning context for the training of CEOs within the Italian NHS.

Abstract
