Drug hypersensitivity is a difficult problem, but recent advances in the genetics and understanding of the immune mechanisms of various drug hypersensitivity reactions have enabled the field to make significant progress. In Rome, geneticists, immunologists, pharmacologists, toxicologists, and allergists, many of whom belong to the European Network for Drug Allergy (ENDA), the EAACI interest group on drug hypersensitivity, met and discussed these new developments in a friendly and productive atmosphere.

Abstract

Drug hypersensitivity is a difficult problem, but recent advances in the genetics and understanding of the immune mechanisms of various drug hypersensitivity reactions have enabled the field to make significant progress. In Rome, geneticists, immunologists, pharmacologists, toxicologists, and allergists, many of whom belong to the European Network for Drug Allergy (ENDA), the EAACI interest group on drug hypersensitivity, met and discussed these new developments in a friendly and productive atmosphere.
