The site of Palazzo Pignano, currently inside the Cremona district, during the Roman Age was part of the Bergamo ager. The site is especially known for the remains of a great pavillon villa built in the 4th and 5th century A.D. Quite unknown are the phases of the Imperial age occupation referable to an important settlement complex. The paper deals with the study of the structural remains and the pottery related to this chronological period, through the analysis of the data that come from old and recent excavations. The results enrich the population framework of the low plain of Bergamo during the first two centuries of the Roman Empire.
