There is an aspect of ancient books “historicity” that is often little considered: the relationship between single exemplars of different editions which have been bound together. The analysis of a small size Bolognese XVIth century miscellany provides a classic study example. First of all because one of the editions makes it possibile to think about handprint techniques; secondly because the binding is contemporaneous and can be geographically situated; thirdly because the ancient owner of the small collection of these poetical and theatrical texts can be identified.

Abstract
There is an aspect of ancient books “historicity” that is often little considered: the relationship between single exemplars of different editions which have been bound together. The analysis of a small size Bolognese XVIth century miscellany provides a classic study example. First of all because one of the editions makes it possibile to think about handprint techniques; secondly because the binding is contemporaneous and can be geographically situated; thirdly because the ancient owner of the small collection of these poetical and theatrical texts can be identified.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
