Theoretical contributions have been made to the contemporary sociology of everyday life which allow us to expand the concept of meaning beyond hte Weberian purposive rationality paradigm. I propose in this paper to highlight the opportunity to bring together all the various ways in wwhich meaning may be evidenced in everyday life.
