Observations on the sponge-fly Sisyra terminalis in Italy (Neuroptera, Sisyridae). New distributional data on the sisyrids Sisyra terminalis Curtis, 1854 and S. nigra (Retzius, 1783) in Italy are reported as well as some taxonomical and ecological notes on the former of these sponge-fly species. S. terminalis has hitherto been found only in some northern regions of Italy (Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna). Almost all the findings come from sites in the plain of the Po Valley; one of them comes from the low Apennines in the Romagna region, and is the southernmost finding of S. terminalis in Italy for now.
Si riportano dati corologici inediti su Sisyra terminalis Curtis, 1854 e S. nigra (Retzius, 1783) (Neuroptera, Sisyridae) in Italia e note ecologiche e tassonomiche sulla prima delle due specie. In Italia S. terminalis è finora conosciuta solo per alcune regioni settentrionali (Piemonte, Lombar34 dia, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna). Quasi tutti i reperti provengono da località di pianura della Val Padana; uno riguarda il basso Appennino romagnolo ed è il più meridionale finora noto per l’Italia.
