This work is the first scientific English commentary to the eighty-five fragments of the Greek historian Phylarchos. All the fragments are accompanied by an English translation of the Greek text. The work is completed by a biographical essay on Phylarchos and an updated modern bibliography. Given the importance of Phylarchos for the Greek-Hellenistic history of the III century BC, the commentary on Phylarchos' fragments is an indispensable reference for all scholars of ancient history.
