Nulhs hom no sap que s’es gautz ni dolors (BdT 10.39) is one of the love poems of the troubadour Aimeric de Pegulhan. The analysis of the content cobla after cobla casts light on some connections between this and other poems by Aimeric, together with possible relations between Nulhs hom no sap and other compositions by troubadours and Italian poets of XIIIth century: Dante da Maiano, Guittone, Mazzeo di Ricco et cetera. This new interpretation sometimes moves away from that of two previous editors, William P. Shepard and Frank. M. Chambers. The analysis of the versification points out the absence of the tornado – which is rather uncommon in the production of Aimeric – and the proximity of this poem to Hom ditz que gaugz non es senes amor (BdT 10.29) also from a thematic perspective. Moreover, the analysis of the relations of the manuscripts (four manuscripts at all: C, R, O, c) shows that the stemma of Shepard and Chambers is based on unsubstantial evidence; in fact, we do not possess sufficient data to establish relationships between the manuscripts, except for O and c. The final part of the article is a new critical edition of the poem, with an Italian translation and a short commentary.

La canzone Nulhs hom no sap que s’es gautz ni dolors (BdT 10.39) di Aimeric de Pegulhan fa parte della parte amorosa del canzoniere del trovatore tolosano. L’analisi cobla per cobla del contenuto mette in luce alcuni legami tra questo e altri testi del trovatore, nonché i possibili agganci a Nulhs hom no sap di altri componimenti trobadorici e italiani: Dante da Maiano, Guittone, Mazzeo di Ricco ecc. In qualche caso l’interpretazione si discosta da quella fornita dagli editori precedenti, William P. Shepard e Frank. M. Chambers. L’analisi metrica sottolinea l’assenza della tornada, cosa non comune nella produzione di Aimeric, nonché la vicinanza di questa canzone, che è anche parzialmente tematica, a Hom ditz que gaugz non es senes amor (BdT 10.29). L’analisi della tradizione manoscritta (quattro testimoni in tutto: C, R, O, c) mostra che lo stemma di Shepard e Chambers si basa su presupposti inconsistenti, e che i dati a disposizione in realtà non consentono di stabilire rapporti precisi tra i manoscritti, se non quelli tra O e c. Segue il nuovo testo critico, accompagnato dalla traduzione e da un breve commento.
