The National Observatory on Health in Italian Regions (www.osservasalute.it) is a collaboration between the Institute Hygiene of the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, the Institutes hygiene of the other Italian universities and many institutions national, regional and corporate, with the aim of define and analyze the impact of the devolution process in health care on health status and quality of health services regional, highlighting areas of excellence and weaknesses and suggesting makers with adequate and rational political and socio- ad hoc health, to improve health and combat its determinants in the reference populations.
