The biblical tradition of the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of the good and the evil is being investigated through the medieval iconographic sources. The coincidence and the confusion between the apple and the fruit of the fig is at the basis of the interpretative plot that shows itself through the artistic representations.
La tradizione biblica dell'albero della vita e dell'albero della conoscenza del bene e del male viene indagata attraverso le fonti iconografiche medievali. La coincidenza e la confusione tra la mela e il frutto del fico sono alla base dell'intreccio interpretativo che si manifesta attraverso le rappresentaizoni artistiche.
