Taking the workplace as the stage of performance is perhaps a natural extension of the theme initiated with the publication of Training through drama for work (2009) and continued throughout the subsequent books to date by Brian Groves DipM MCIM Chartered Marketer, CTI-trained Co-Active Coach, Freelance Trainer and Adjunct Professor at the Catholic University of Milan: Elements of theatre at work (2010), Reflections on performance at work (2012), Coaching, performing and thinking at work (2013), Personal performance potential at work (2014) and Performance skills at work (2015). With emphasis on living and working to our potential, some ideas here were originally produced as input for his personal blog (http://bgdtcoaching.wordpress.com/) during the period July 2015-June 2016. Detailing particular characteristics of work-related performance, this latest book begins by looking at the universality of work in addition to differing outlooks on aspects related to it. The importance of preparation is then highlighted with reference to the rehearsal phase. The actual execution of our activities, plus the audience’s reaction to it, form the heart of the ensuing chapters. To explore the stage of work from the position of the performer, four interviews are included here. The interviewees provide insight into modern working practices and interesting personal perspectives. The book concludes with a vision of how the workplace might evolve, impacting on the future stage of work.

Considerare il luogo di lavoro come il palcoscenico della performance è forse la naturale estensione del tema iniziato con la pubblicazione di Training through drama for work (2009) e portato avanti nei successivi libri fino ad oggi da Brian Groves DipM MCIM Chartered Marketer, Coach Co-attivo formatosi presso CTI, Trainer Freelance e Docente a contratto dell’Università Cattolica di Milano: Elements of theatre at work (2010), Reflections on performance at work (2012), Coaching, performing and thinking at work (2013), Personal performance potential at work (2014) e Performance skills at work (2015).
