Metodi qualitativi e quantitativi per la ricerca sociale in sanità

The methodological issues addressed in this volume are many and varied. We go from questioning the behaviorist principle of the "invariance of the stimulus" to the distinction between the objectivity of the medical evidence and intersubjective objectivity of the “illness narratives” in their articulation of "direct", "mediated" and "represented" experiences, to the questioning of the investigation model known as “customer satisfaction”, to diversified forms of integration between qualitative and quantitative models, to the appropriate use of statistical tools that are based on the “ordered probit model” or the “capability approach”.

Gli aspetti metodologici affrontati in questo volume sono numerosi e diversificati. Si passa dalla messa in discussione del principio di stampo behaviorista dell’”invarianza dello stimolo” alla distinzione tra oggettività delle evidenze mediche e oggettività intersoggettiva delle illness narratives nella loro articolazione di esperienze “dirette”, “mediate” e “rappresentate”, alla messa in discussione del modello di indagine della customer satisfaction, a forme diversificate di integrazione tra modelli qualitativi e quantitativi, ad un uso appropriato di strumenti statistici che si rifanno all’ordered probit model o al capability approach.
