The Bible in Italian: the manuscript tradition (xiii-xiv sec.); the first printed editions (xv-xvi sec.); two important exceptions in the “Dark Ages” (xvii-xviii sec.) - 2. The Revival of Biblical Studies (xix sec.): from the Vulgate to the texts in the original languages; the first critical editions - 3. A New Publishing Spring (xx-xxi sec.): the preceding years the Second Vatican Council; the season of the council and its effects - 4. Some Methodological Consideration: the source is constituted by the most ancient and best manuscripts; the lexicon and style are conforming to the current language; translation is collective work of the church for the whole Christian community - 5.
