This report aims at identifying the ways to improve judicial responses to the trafficking of persons and the smuggling of migrants, international cooperation among law enforcement agencies and judiciaries in combating the criminal organisations involved in human trafficking and smuggling, prevention of the phenomenon through the knowledge acquired about criminal organisations and their modi operandi and actions for the social protection of victims.
