Piccolomini’s Libellus dialogorum is composed by 14 dialogues concerned the history of the Council of Basel (dialogues between Nicholaus of Cues and Stefano Caccia) and the literary questions discussed in this period (dialogues between Enea Silvio Piccolomini and Martin Le Franc). The critical edition of the Latin text is accompanied by an Introduction and a Comment where are illustrated the origin and meaning of this text in the context of the Council of Basel, the literary and historical arguments, the manuscripts’ tradition and the author’s sources.
