The essay addresses the relation among identity, liberty and law within a post-hegelian horizon. Starting from the communitarian perspective, and especially the philosophical proposal offered by Charles Taylor, the complexity and the contradictions of a new "communitarian identity" (based on the rethinking of the notion of "tradition" and of the idea of "community") in a postmodern context emerges.
