In this (brief) article, it is submitted that: a)in the Quadri's theory of Public international Law, a plurality of leitmotifs can be found, in sofar as his methodological approach can be considered as being, at the same time,a realistic and a constitutional approach; b) Quadri shares some of these "leimotifs" with Schmitt and Mortati, with specific regard to his well known idea of a living constitution of the international community; c)such a constitutional approach has not spread to many italian scholars, at variance with his realistic methodology which has been widely accepted. Concerning the global contribution of Quadri to private international law, it is pointed out that his strongly comparative approach has been widely accepted, while most of his theorical (unilateralism) and practical solutions have not been widely shared.

Abstract
In this (brief) article, it is submitted that: a)in the Quadri's theory of Public international Law, a plurality of leitmotifs can be found, in sofar as his methodological approach can be considered as being, at the same time,a realistic and a constitutional approach; b) Quadri shares some of these "leimotifs" with Schmitt and Mortati, with specific regard to his well known idea of a living constitution of the international community; c)such a constitutional approach has not spread to many italian scholars, at variance with his realistic methodology which has been widely accepted. Concerning the global contribution of Quadri to private international law, it is pointed out that his strongly comparative approach has been widely accepted, while most of his theorical (unilateralism) and practical solutions have not been widely shared.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
