Il sostegno educativo alla genitorialità: dar forma alla promessa custodita nel generare

The paper considers the importance of rethinking the training courses for parents, to enhance the knowledge born from experience and educational skills implied. The educational practice allows us to understand that parenting support needs to be addressed not only to educational duties towards children, but also to the process of identity formation of both mother and father. Parents, helped to reflect and give meaning to their own family experiences, prove to be able to develop educational intentionality and to govern transitions, discovering unexpected resources. It is not, therefore, to provide parents with answers already defined but to support them in the journey of constant training of their identity, but also in the task of defining their educational duties, reflecting on their experience of parenting.
