Prefazione

The purpose of this book, for parents, educators and teachers, is to revive the relevance of certain methods of recovery and support that have characterized the history of rehabilitation (Terzi method, Frostig, Doman Delacato) identifying the elements of applicability in the field treatment both in education and teaching. Through this analysis, the text explores the complex relationship between perceptual development - and motor learning in children with disabilities and difficulties at school age. In this perspective has addressed the issue of growth and psychomotor maturation, influenced by genetic inheritance, but also significantly influenced by the environment (family, school, media ...) and the experience of movement that a child can do (physical education, spontaneous play, sports, treatment ...)

Lo scopo di questo libro, rivolto a genitori, educatori e insegnanti, è riproporre l'attualità di alcune metodologie di recupero e sostegno che hanno caratterizzato la storia della riabilitazione (metodo Terzi, Frostig, Doman Delacato) individuandone gli elementi di applicabilità sia in campo terapeutico sia in educazione e didattica. Attraverso questa analisi, il testo approfondisce la complessa relazione esistente fra sviluppo percettivo - motorio e apprendimento nel bambino con disabilità e difficoltà in età scolare. In tale prospettiva è affrontato il tema della crescita e della maturazione psicomotoria, condizionate dal patrimonio genetico, ma anche influenzate in modo significativo dall'ambiente (famiglia, scuola, mass-media...) e dalle esperienze di movimento che un bambino può fare (educazione motoria, gioco spontaneo, sport, terapia....).
