In the last decade the presence in European countries of unaccompanied minors, those who are left unaccompanied by their family of origin, has become an increasingly urgent matter, to the point of constituting a large section of the population seeking asylum and protection. In the chapter, the different aspects of the problem are presented before delving into a specific situation, which characterized the last two years: the so-called “North Africa Emergency”.
