The paper describes the positive experiences of hospitalization of children with serious illnesses and disabling conditions who have benefited from education services. In the general context of integrated social and health policies, the theme of the baby in the hospital is of particular importance as it is a challenge that is capable of challenging rigid practices and specialized knowledge separately. In the experiments described (Genoa, Monza, Parma, Florence, Rome and Palermo) children's families, social workers, teachers, psychologists, doctors and nurses have been able to create a real therapeutic alliance in the interest of the sick.

Abstract
The paper describes the positive experiences of hospitalization of children with serious illnesses and disabling conditions who have benefited from education services. In the general context of integrated social and health policies, the theme of the baby in the hospital is of particular importance as it is a challenge that is capable of challenging rigid practices and specialized knowledge separately. In the experiments described (Genoa, Monza, Parma, Florence, Rome and Palermo) children's families, social workers, teachers, psychologists, doctors and nurses have been able to create a real therapeutic alliance in the interest of the sick.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
