The study deals with the first half of the XIV century, investigating the errors which Ockham and Buridan highlighted in Aristotle's Physics. in the aristotelian physical doctrines are criticized not only necessitarism or determinism, but also the 'principle of fullness". Consequently new hypotheses are sustained, such as the possibility of three-dimensional empty space and of others existing worlds, and the elimination of separate substances as motors of the celestial spheres.
