The paper analyzes the data of a wide quantitative and qualitative research on the artistic practices today in Italy. In particular, the analysis demonstrates that the artistic practice are similar to grassroots methods, from the bottom, at the margins or completely off the mainstream, outside of definite institutions, and often based on “viral” forms.
