The essays here collected presents the results of an international research, which were presented in an international congress held in the Catholic University of Milano on May 12th 2011, under the auspices of the Austrian Consulship and the Austrian Cultural Forum, as well as in a seminary held in the same Unviersity on October 28th 2011. They deal with a central issue of educational historiography, videlicet the history of teacher training and of the progressive istituzionalization of academic pedagogy.
I testi che qui sono raccolti sono l’esito di una ricerca confluita in un convegno internazionale, svoltosi in Università Cattolica il 13 maggio 2011, autorevolmente patrocinato dal Consolato generale d’Austria e del Forum austriaco di cultura, nonché di un seminario svoltosi nel medesimo ateneo il 28 ottobre 2011, e affrontano un tema centrale nella storiografia educativa, ovvero la storia della formazione degli insegnanti e la progressiva istituzionalizzazione del sapere pedagogico accademico.
