The preface presents the results of the research that is in the book, and focuses especially in the big changes that have been in Walt Dinsey Animation Studios from Snow White in 1937 to contemporary films like Frozen. It depicts a company in which there have been different people with different approaches that have developed films that have remained as masterpieces of animation; also it shows how a proper script was not used until the beginning of the 60s: animators worked on treatments and they developed scenes visually with a lot of freedom about every scene.
