This article traces the historical trajectory of Christian communities in the Middle East from the late 19th century to the present day, highlighting the challenges and difficulties that Eastern Christians have faced. Throughout this process, these communities have consistently relied on the extensive interregional and intercontinental networks that have developed over time between their communities of origin and the diasporas scattered across Europe and the rest of the world.
