This article analyzes the large-scale protests against corruption and controversial economic policies that took place in Sofia in December 2025. The frequent, mass demonstrations led to the resignation of the government led by Rosen Zhelyazkov, exposing a fragile and heavily oligarch-influenced institutional system — forcing the country into its eighth general election since 2021.
