This contribution examines the historical origins of the glocal phenomenon in Brescia, adopting an approach grounded in the paradigm of glocalism. It outlines the events and dynamics of Brescia’s history that can be interpreted from this perspective, beginning in the second half of the nineteenth century and extending, in concise form, into the new millennium, across the fields of economy, society, culture, and religion. The analysis clearly highlights Brescia’s role as a significant laboratory of the glocal city.
