This paper considers the need to develop a new definition of terrorism and radicalization processes, taking into account the changes in these phenomena that have emerged in recent years. In particular, starting from a theoretical reflection that focuses on the issue of violence and its various forms, the focus focuses on a critical analysis of the current TRA-Is Terrorism Risk Assessment Tools to arrive at a proposal for analysis by radicalization models, highlighting the characteristics and role of digital communication ecosystems. In this context, the importance of a change of approach for the assessment of terrorism and extremism risk will be emphasized, considering the change from weak signals to the centrality of digital communication ecosystems and their characteristics. The new interpretative paradigm therefore considers the ecosystem as an essential element for the analysis of current radicalization processes and for future interpretative models.

Abstract
The new interpretative paradigm therefore considers the ecosystem as an essential element for the analysis of current radicalization processes and for future interpretative models.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
