Personaggi fragili nella novellistica di Palazzeschi

The contribution rereads Palazzeschi's Novelle, focusing on those vulnerable characters, or more specifically, on those figures with disabilities, whom Aldo observes with curiosity, empathy, affection, and to whom he reserves a light touch of irony. It appears to us as a very modern form of inclusion; liberating laughter in fact proves to be more egalitarian and benevolent than pity, which creates distance between the supposedly healthy and fortunate, on the one hand, and the different, the fragile, the unfortunate, the disabled, on the other.

Il contributo rilegge le Novelle di Palazzeschi soffermandosi su quei personaggi fragili o, più in particolare, su quelle figure con disabilità, che Aldo osserva con curiosità, empatia, affetto e ai quali riserva un'ironia leggera. Essa ci appare come una forma molto moderna di inclusione; la risata liberatoria si rivela infatti più egualitaria e benevola della pietà, la quale crea distanza tra i presunti sani e fortunati, da una parte, e i diversi, i fragili, gli sfortunati, i disabili, dall’altra.
