Abstract
Public policies, services, and professional practices produce significant effects on family life, effects that are often neither immediately visible nor systematically analyzed. In a context marked by growing social complexity and the transformation of family relationships, it is becoming increasingly important to adopt approaches and tools capable of identifying and taking into account the family impact of decisions, practices, and interventions. This volume presents the results of the Multifaceted FamILens project, carried out by a multidisciplinary research group at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. Building on a pre-existing model, FamILens—a theoretical and operational framework for analyzing the family impact of policies, services, and professional practices—the project developed its applied dimension. Through an interdisciplinary path, the book illustrates the participatory process through which the FamILens Checklists were developed and applied to different welfare contexts—from family mediation to child protection, from home care to corporate welfare—presenting the first empirical evidence emerging from their use. The volume is addressed to scholars, students, and professionals in welfare, social policy, and personal services who are interested in developing innovative approaches and tools to design, analyze, evaluate, and improve services and policies oriented toward family well-being.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
