The article focuses on the creation of a diachronic database of textile fibres (FR-IT-EN) based on the principles of the Semantic Web – a project born from the collaboration between the Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale “Antonio Zampolli” (ILC-CNR) and the Osservatorio di Terminologie e Politiche Linguistiche (OTPL - Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore). Emphasis is placed on the formal representation of data in the subdomain of artificial fibres. After introducing the specific features of this type of textile fibres, especially their environmental impact, the nature of the data formalised so far is illustrated. Then, the principles of the DIATERM model, adopted in this project, are explained, followed by a detailed description of the modelling of our terminological resource, which includes two levels of analysis: linguistic and conceptual. Finally, its effectiveness in providing precise answers to formal queries is demonstrated through a series of diachronic queries.

Abstract
Finally, its effectiveness in providing precise answers to formal queries is demonstrated through a series of diachronic queries.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
