This paper explores the "Magnete" community point project in Milan’s Adriano district as a pioneering laboratory for urban regeneration and proximity welfare. Situated in a post-industrial peripheral area once marked by social fragmentation and an identity crisis, Magnete represents a shift from a reparative welfare model to one centered on the synergy between "Care and Culture". Developed by the social cooperative Proges as part of the Adriano Community Center (ACC), the project integrates traditional socio-health services with a participatory cultural hub. The study analyzes the urban context through the lens of the "Third Landscape" and the "post-urban" era, where traditional boundaries between city and community have dissolved, leading to a demand for new forms of belonging. By employing co-design methodologies and a multistakeholder governance model Magnete fosters intergenerational inclusion and the development of collective capabilities. The project redefines public spaces as "shared infrastructures" that facilitate relational care, moving beyond a simple delivery of services toward a process of community recognition. Ultimately, Magnete offers a sustainable model for the contemporary global city by creating "thresholds and rituals" that allow diverse populations to inhabit the city more poetically and effectively.
