Abstract
Admiration for the Italian language and culture, and interest in all its forms — from art and literature to music, cinema, and photography — has deep roots in France. This admiration has evolved over time, taking on different forms depending on the historical context. This contribution illustrates the main stages of Italianism in France, which is a significant example of Italian influence across all cultural areas. Within this dense and consolidated network of relations, Italianism in France can be framed within the broader context of the Italian diaspora, which has been present in France since the 19th century. It illustrates the main stages of Italianism in France and the significant traces of Italian influence across every cultural area. Within this dense and consolidated network of relationships, it is possible to see the current state of Italian in France, how it is taught at various levels, the demand for it in the professional sphere, and strategies for disseminating it more widely and effectively.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
