The volume aims to continue the reflections initiated in 2020 with the first edition, Musical Tourism: History, Geography, Education. Within the broader phenomenon of cultural tourism—taking into account the evolution that has affected the entire sector over the course of just a few years—the book explores the role that musical travel plays today, as articulated across three domains: historical-musical, geographical, and educational. Not only the new or changing behaviors brought about by the pandemic, but also the development of technologies, up to the recent spread of the use of Artificial Intelligence, have prompted reflection on the renewed motivations that have encouraged and may continue to encourage musical travel, as well as on the role that musical tourism assumes within the broader system of music consumption and experience. The reflection also addresses the approaches that have been devised—and those that are still being envisioned—for the performative and educational spheres.

Abstract
The reflection also addresses the approaches that have been devised—and those that are still being envisioned—for the performative and educational spheres.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
