Episodes of discrimination and racism, which often result in violence, are becoming increasingly frequent. It is believed that adoptive families can be an example of integration and enhancement of diversity as a value. They are, in fact, multicultural environments in which cultures from around the world can come together and intertwine. Nevertheless, critical issues remain in widespread adoption culture and related family policies. This contribution aims to explore, within the context of family pedagogy, the topic of the inclusion of adoptive families in contemporary society. Through an ongoing dialogue between theory and practice, it was proposed that some Italian adoptive parents would be involved in qualitative research to derive useful insights into inclusion from their narratives.

Abstract
