This chapter offers an annotated edition of part of Serafino da Colmirano's ascension to Mount Sinai. This travelogue, which dates to the first part of the 16th century, was included by Luigi Vulcano in his "Vera et nuova descrittione di tutta Terra Santa" (Naples, 1563). It preserves important information on the Sinai region at the beginning of the Ottoman era.
