This chapter presents a reflection on the changes determined by the transfer of the evaluation and feedback activity to virtual environments as a consequence of the restrictions imposed by COVID-19. On the one hand, the advantages and limitations of some technological tools for the evaluation of communicative competences and linguistic proficiency are analyzed and some practical suggestions for the building and management of exams in these contexts are included. On the other hand, the characteristics of electronic feedback, both automated and mediated by technology, are analyzed and related to different types of evaluation, highlighting multimediality and multimodality as positive elements and the limited flexibility of automated feedback as an aspect that should be improved in the future.
