The paper focuses on the question of human rights that emerged in the second half of the twentieth century. More precisely, starting from the theoretical coordinates traced by the philosophical-juridical reflection developed between the 1950s and 1960s, the contribution focuses on the role played by rhetoric and the categories of "common sense" and "truth" in order to possibly found the notion of "human rights".
