Lo haiku, una forma poetica per avvicinare mondi lontani

The haiku approaches the Japanese view of the relationship between man and the universe through the nature that surrounds us. The poetry of the haiku embraces the universe and, through the scansion of seventeen syllables (5-7-5), seeks truth, beauty and justice, a direct proclamation to all. Tracing the history of the haiku through its arrival in the French poetic tradition opens up another scenario, that of the poetic and expressive force that contributed to the rapprochement between East and West. Haiku enters the French literary space without following its formal rules, but in the essence of its brevity, considered almost as a way of life, imposed by the ternary rhythm, so different from the tradition of French verse. Poetry as an experience of life, poetry as a path rhythmised by other sonorities. This path, traced in short sketches, shows the impact that a poetic form so culturally marked has had on French and European literary history: a living presence that has marked a significant furrow in the dialogue between distant cultures and societies, between tastes and knowledge that have not yet sufficiently met, that has been able to continue and live on to this day.

Lo haiku avvicina al punto di vista giapponese del rapporto uomo e universo, tramite la natura che ci circonda. La poesia dello haiku include l’universo e, attraverso la scansione di diciassette sillabe (5-7-5), ricerca verità, bellezza e giustizia, un annuncio diretto a tutti. Ripercorrere la storia dello haiku attraverso il suo arrivo nella tradizione poetica francese apre un altro scenario, quello della forza poetica ed espressiva che ha contribuito all’avvicinamento fra Oriente e Occidente. Lo haiku entra nello spazio letterario francese senza seguirne le regole formali, ma nell’essenza della sua brevità, considerato quasi un metodo di vita imposto dal ritmo ternario, così diverso dalla tradizione del verso francese. Poesia come esperienza di vita, poesia come via ritmata da altre sonorità. In questo percorso, tracciato a brevi schizzi, è ripercorso il segno dell’impatto che una forma poetica così culturalmente caratterizzata ha lasciato nella storia letteraria francese ed europea: una presenza viva che ha marcato un solco significativo nel dialogo fra culture e società lontane, fra gusti e conoscenze che ancora non si erano sufficientemente incontrate, che ha potuto proseguire e vivere fino ad oggi.
