The perspective of co-responsibility, variously declined in national and European documents as participation, alliance, collaboration, partnership, coeducation places at the center the theme of the relationship with families as a strategic axis of the pedagogical identity of educational services for children, connoting them as places of democratic practice.Building an inclusive and collaborative style with families involves slow but necessary reflexive work on boundaries and resistance, that is, on the tacit aspects of the encounter. In this problematizing process, dialogue with families places professional figures in front of their own defenses and distances, fears and insecurities, paving the way for a patient work of mitigating misunderstandings.
