The research presented here, which was conducted in the women's sections of three southern Italian prisons through the administration of a questionnaire, enabled an exploration of the relationship between work and wellbeing at the psycho-physical, relational and work levels. The majority of interviewees articulated highly favourable assessments of the efficacy of prison labour, asserting its potential to enhance both the quality of life within correctional facilities and the subsequent reintegration of individuals into the community. It is an irrefutable fact that, in spite of the remarkable nature of this statistic, it is at odds with the paucity of suitable occupations for all inmates. Furthermore, these inmates represent a minuscule percentage of the entire Italian prison population, which risks marginalising and excluding them from any form of re-educational opportunity.

Abstract
Furthermore, these inmates represent a minuscule percentage of the entire Italian prison population, which risks marginalising and excluding them from any form of re-educational opportunity.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
