The immune system protect the body of human malignant cells and pathogens. Natural killer (NK) cells are the first line of defense against tumor cell development and they are very sensitive to physical exercise. Immediately after exercise conducted intensive, natural killer cells increased up to 300%. With regular exercise, the researchers found significant increases in levels of natural killer. In fact, studies suggest that those who do not achieve minimum levels of physical activity have a higher risk of contracting upper respiratory infections, which in the bibliography are indicated by the acronym URTI (Upper Respiratory Tract Infection). At the same time, it should be remembered that very intense workouts and repeated over time, can depress the immune system function.

Abstract
The immune system protect the body of human malignant cells and pathogens. Natural killer (NK) cells are the first line of defense against tumor cell development and they are very sensitive to physical exercise. Immediately after exercise conducted intensive, natural killer cells increased up to 300%. With regular exercise, the researchers found significant increases in levels of natural killer. In fact, studies suggest that those who do not achieve minimum levels of physical activity have a higher risk of contracting upper respiratory infections, which in the bibliography are indicated by the acronym URTI (Upper Respiratory Tract Infection). At the same time, it should be remembered that very intense workouts and repeated over time, can depress the immune system function.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
