The essay examines the main site-specific performances of SCT Centre, realised between 2006 and 2023, and analyses the processes by which community theatre intersects with the practices of dramaturgy of spaces. In particular, the article studies the forms of action and the protagonism of groups in the workshop perspective, the dramaturgy of theatre spaces and the involvement of spectators participating in the theatrical experience. It highlights the frequent presence of forms of narrative dramaturgy declined in a choral dimension; the form of the itinerant scene; the collaboration between professional actors and non-professional actors-participants; the intervention of dramaturgs who design the performances and take care of their effectiveness for the communities.

Abstract
The essay examines the main site-specific performances of SCT Centre, realised between 2006 and 2023, and analyses the processes by which community theatre intersects with the practices of dramaturgy of spaces. In particular, the article studies the forms of action and the protagonism of groups in the workshop perspective, the dramaturgy of theatre spaces and the involvement of spectators participating in the theatrical experience. It highlights the frequent presence of forms of narrative dramaturgy declined in a choral dimension; the form of the itinerant scene; the collaboration between professional actors and non-professional actors-participants; the intervention of dramaturgs who design the performances and take care of their effectiveness for the communities.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
