The aim of this paper is to shed light on the relationships among gender and trust. To do so, we use an alternative methodology: a laboratory experiment which implements an investment game. Although it has to be considered as a pilot experiment, the results we gathered provide useful insights into the way in which gender differences affect trust, and confirm several contributions already available in the literature.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to shed light on the relationships among gender and trust. To do so, we use an alternative methodology: a laboratory experiment which implements an investment game. Although it has to be considered as a pilot experiment, the results we gathered provide useful insights into the way in which gender differences affect trust, and confirm several contributions already available in the literature.
