Abstract
What is natural and what is artificial? Human beings do not inhabit nature but are a particular mode of nature itself. An integrated ecosystem as much as bacteria, sponges and ants are. Taking a cue from the studies of the anarchist philosopher Pyotr Kropotkin, the text indicates that the mutual support of ants led to mutual trust as the first condition of the courage of a community The ant thrives without having any defensive or offensive function because it, being embedded in a cohesive community, is rarely exterminated by other animals and its strength is manifested in mutual support and exchangeable trust. Mutual support thus proves to be as much a law of nature as is the mutual struggle among species advocated by evolutionary Darwinism. Ants teach us an organizational aesthetic and ethic and a social model to be carefully evaluated.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
