Thus far, the disruptive impact of blockchain technology on organizations’ strategies is attracting considerable interest from academics and practitioners. By applying the lens of network theory, the chapter aims to provide a conceptual framework arising from the blockchain literature analysis in the setting of Logistic and Supply Chain Management (LSCM), with a focus on organized Large-Scale Retail Distribution (LSRD) industry. The chapter aspires to answer the following research question: How do blockchain technologies reshape information management by increasing transparency and trust within the value chain system? In this perspective, the chapter highlights the relationships throughout the whole supply chain operators of LSRD to enlarge the focus on the interplay between several actors within the industry. Findings clarify how blockchain adoption has positive impact on trust and sustainability among operators and businesses in logistic and supply chain by co-creating and sharing value. Thus, the impact on trust occurs at three different levels, i.e., (1) individual; (2) businesses relationship; (3) ecosystem. Finally, the main contribution of the chapter is to underline the shift from value chain to relational chain framework, where ecosystem, business, and individual relationships are reinforced by the adoption of blockchain technology in LSRD industry.

Abstract
Finally, the main contribution of the chapter is to underline the shift from value chain to relational chain framework, where ecosystem, business, and individual relationships are reinforced by the adoption of blockchain technology in LSRD industry.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
