On the occasion of the opening of the "Centro Interdisciplinare per lo Studio della Geografia Letteraria" dedicated to Carlo Dionisotti, at the Università del Piemonte Orientale in Vercelli, the figure of the great Italianist is reproposed, especially to young generations, under different points of view: from the intimate idea of the scholar who loved to stay in Romagnano Sesia, where he lies since 1998, to documents and pictures which run through the life-journey of this maser of literature since his birth in 1908 to his studies and his political and filological engagement, from his collaborations to the main reviws to his scholarship in London, together with an indispensable bibliography, starting from Geografia e stroia della letteratura italiana, with the conviction that "Italy's unitarian tradition is chiefly based on literary documents, from Dante to Manzoni".
