Issue 1/2024 of "Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai, Philologia series" is dedicated to this theme - Emerging Terminologies and Specialised Translation - focusing on the analysis and description of emerging terminologies in different languages, with special attention to Romance languages. This thematic issue illustrates pluralistic approaches that integrate terminological neology, specialised phraseology, lexical relations and the cognitive-social dimension of terminology, terminological metaphor, and presents twelve articles, most of which are single-author contributions, with a European approach to current terminological research. The topics covered are very diverse, covering areas such as gastronomy, fashion, ethics, nanoscience, green energy, blockchain, Covid-19, politics, law and marine life: this thematic diversity illustrates the many specialised fields in which new terminologies are being recorded.

The topics covered are very diverse, covering areas such as gastronomy, fashion, ethics, nanoscience, green energy, blockchain, Covid-19, politics, law and marine life: this thematic diversity illustrates the many specialised fields in which new terminologies are being recorded.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
